The Weekend (with a scare)

Friday night we were planning on running a couple errands and going out for dinner, but then Ryken was feeling a little under the weather. So, Daddy and Ryken ended up staying home while Mommy and Jordan had a night out together. Jordan and mom went and ran errands and went on a little date to Rumbi's and had a good time talking(it's always fun to talk to a 3 year old). While we were at dinner a lady walked up to us and said, "Wow you've got yourself quite a handsome date," which made Jordan grin. Jordan was being such a good boy so we went to target were he picked out a toy for himself. He also wanted to get one for Ryken because he wasn't feeling good and he knew just what would make him smile. Jordan looked and looked, and found the perfect present. It was a mini basketball. Jordan was really excited to give it to him. That was our Friday night.

Saturday I was really lazy because I was up on and off through the night with Ryken. He was so stuffed up and had a fever so we both didn't sleep that much. We woke up at 7:45 and got breakfast. Then I went back to bed until 11:00 while my wonderful husband did the Saturday cleaning. Later the boys wanted to visit Grandma Ann. We told then that they couldn't because she wasn't feeling very good. So we just chilled at home and then I put the kids down for a nap and decided to go and check on Ann. When I got there, I peeked in her room and saw that she was asleep so I just left. Meanwhile we decided to have dinner with Nick and the boys. While they were on their way over, Nick called our cell phone and said that the Bishop and his wife were at Ann's calling the ambulance. I immediately ran over there. Ann was in her room shaking like crazy. She had a serious fever, and felt like throwing up. It was scary. The fire truck arrived first. They asked a few questions and had me look around the apartment for any and all medications Ann was taking. Meanwhile, the ambulance arrived and took her to the hospital. Nick rode with her in the ambulance and I meet them there. It felt like a eternity before I could see her. By that time, Jer and Kelli arrived along with Grandma and Grandpa Poulson. We all hung out in the lobby while taking turns two at a time sitting with Ann. After a long night, it was decided that she has a kidney infection, which spread and has now become a blood infection. They admitted her quickly, and began to run numerous tests. As the night went on, Ann's two sisters Kathy and Carrie also came for support. Ann being the stubborn person she can be would not allow anyone stay the night with her, so we all called it a night and arrived back home at 11:45pm. Another thing that is typical Ann (which makes her such an incredible person) is the whole night she just kept worrying about getting to the store so she could make all of us dinner on Sunday. She's so thoughtful.

Dan took her some belongings this morning. She is very tired and was unable to get much sleep last night. She wants to rest. There is a possibility that she can come home today. It all happened so fast, but we are glad that it looks like she will be okay. Please keep her in your prayers for a fast recovery. We love yo Ann!!

I'm calling it now

Our sweet little Ryken boy is going to play ball when he gets older, this kid seriously eats, breaths and sleeps ball 24/7. Whenever you see him he's got a ball in his hand whether its a basketball or bounce ball, but he truly loves his basketball and I mean literally. The other night he refused to go to bed with out it and he kissed it good night and said night night ball he also brought it out to dinner with him tonight. Also the other day he was at his cousins house playing basketball outside and kept shooting hoops right after another for a half hour and would have played longer if is was getting cold. Man I love this little baller.

Hoppy Easter!!

The boys had a great Easter this year, Grandma Ann put together a egg hunt out in the complex. Jordan, Ryken, Brosnan and Calder all had a wonderful time running around finding the eggs, there was a little bit of fitting over who got what color of egg(see Jordy's pic) but other then that they did good. Then Sunday morning Dan hid more eggs and candy around apartment the boys did a good job of finding them and of course eating every single piece. Jordan got a spider-man basket and Ryken got a Elmo basket, they both were really happy with what they got. Then later that night we have Easter dinner at great grandma Poulson's house.

Guitar Hero

Ryken is addicted to the wii, he wants to play it 24/7 he really like paying guitar hero and little bit of baseball. Ryken had a fun night playing with daddy until 12:30 but was so hyper he didn't want to go to bed, he kept getting out of his bed and playing around and then when I thought he finally fell asleep and went to cover him up and he wasn't in his room so I turned the hall light on and he was just chilling on the couch hiding behind a cushion with a huge smile on his face.

Meanwhile Jordan had his very first sleepover with his cousin Brosnan last night, they were both extremely excited and couldn't stop talking about it. They both planned it while we were at dinner detail by detail of what they were going to do. Jordan kept telling me and Dan that we couldn't come that is was just for him and Brosnan. Uncle Nick called in the morning to tell us that they have a great time and that they slept in a spider-man tent and stayed up playing games and watching movies, he also mentioned that Jordan woke up a couple times saying that he missed us but then quickly went back to sleep. While it was nice only having one little crazy boy I sure did miss him.

Tiff I have to tell ya that the other day I took the boys on a walk and we were heading down your moms street and Jordan says mom lets go play at Drew's house, I said sorry we can't don't you remember that they moved? he said no but I still want to play with him. I thought that was cute, so tell Drew and Kaidence that my boys miss them.

Easter Bunny

I took the boys today to see the Easter bunny, Jordan was really excited and Ryken was just like whatever. I thought once they actually say the bunny then they would decide not to sit with him, but I was wrong they both were really excited to sit and talk with him(the bunny does not talk) all the bunny did was just wave and nod it's head. I have always thought they make the Easter bunny look too big and scary, it's head is way to huge and look at its clothes they are horrible. Oh well at least I got a good picture.

Lot's of things

Ryken wanted to show of this new shirt he got, it says, " Call the vet because these puppies are sick." I thought it was so cute.

Where do I start? I feel like I just want to write everything that happened this last couple of days, so you may think this blog will be really boring. I will start with the fact that I do not miss Junior high at all. The boys and I went to watch Dan and some guys from his work play the Kennedy Jr High basketball team on Thursday( USANA sponsors Kennedy). Just my luck, I happened to sit by a really annoying girl who I wanted to smack. She repeatedly stomped her feet on the bench I was sitting on and then kept making comments that USANA sucks, but it was like a real hatred. To top it off she saw a friend coming from the other side of the gym so she repeatedly said "Linda" (her friend's name) over and over. It must have been over twenty plus times. It didn't help that she was practically yelling in my ear. Everytime Kennedy scored all the girls would scream really loud. It was that really piercing girly scream. Anyway, they were really annoying and I'm not looking forward for that stage for my boys. ( I also have to mention that Dan's chrurch tream won the region championship, but not before a guy from the other team called him a bastard. Kinda funny ha ha!! If someone called me that I would be all in their face, but my husband is wonderful, and just kept playing).

Now this is for my sweet Landon. I just have to tell you that Jordan has a trait that you have as well. Every time we leave the house Jordan wants to race. Well, I was beating him and all the sudden he stops and starts crying because I was winning and he was losing. In that very moment I thought of Landon, and was like "Oh great, we have another person that freaks out if he doesn't win." I just hope that Ryken won't adopt that trait also. Love you Landon.

Also, this week I purchased photoshop. I was stoked, although I have not clue how it works. I sat on the computer last night for over an hour and got no where. I think I will have to take a class to learn how to use it. Now I can try to make my pictures perfect like Tiff's.

Appreciative

Today Danny took my car to work and that left me with my old '99 ghetto sunfire. I have not drove that car in over a year and now I remember why. It's a crappy car and beyond I look like I'm trying to be from the hood because the driver seat is broken and leans back to the left and therefore am driving like a gangster, it drives ruff has no power lock/windows and it's only a two door. So it was not fun to drive with the boys, so what I'm saying is that you never know how good you have it until you don't. I have been use to this '05 four door Subaru for a while now that does have power lock/windows and CD player its drive smooth and much more but in that moment that it's taken away you realize that you really need to appreciate what you have and deal with it.

So I'm going to try and not be so "high maintenance" and be grateful for the great things I have.

Ryken is such a little punk when he doesn't get what he wants, he will trow a fit and then storm off and go destroy something. This is him having fit when we were making a Easter bunny house.

Tonight for our very first family home evening we decorated a Easter bunny house, the boys had lots of fun. They made a huge mess and mostly eat the frosting and candy.

I love it!

I love when my sweet little boys come home from chruch with something that they drew/made. They both are really proud of any art they do. Jordan has to show everybody and then he will immediately hang it on the fridge.

I also love the little quirks that they each have.

Ryken: He has this thing he does with the fingers on his left hand where he will cross them(like you would as good luck) and then will point with it. He also likes to scrunch up his cute little nose when he laughs.

Jordan: He has a habit of copying his cousin Brosnan when is comes to his "language." The phrase he copies most is "why cause!" So if ask Jordan any question, he will usually respond by saying "why cause," it is hilarious. Another thing I love is Jordan loves to sing. His favorites songs right now are "No One" by Alicia Keys, and a chruch song I think is called "I love to see the Temple." He has the cutest little voice.

As much as the little turkeys stress me out, I would not change it for the world. They definitely keep me busy and on my feet. You would think with all the running around they do I would a skinny ( ha ha!). So I'm thinking of putting Jordan in some active activities. I received a communtuy event book that lists a bunch of things to do. It has come do to a tumbling class, art class, and/or a sports class. I think he will do great in any of them. Now my little Ryken, I have no idea what to do with him. There are no classes for two year olds. He is my busy little bee, who is always on the go. In fact, last night I was watching Beatlejuice and all the sudden here comes Ryken from his room. He jumps on the couch, lays down, puts his hands behind his head and just chills. I asked him what the heck he thought he was doing up at 11:30, and in a little voice with a binky in mouth says, "Watching tv with mommy."

Well enough about the little kids. Dan is still waiting to hear from two other schools(Arizona and U of U) so we still have no idea what we are doing. It seems like so much is riding on this. We would love to expand our family, but it will depends on school. To me it seems that if you want a baby, just have it, but there are a lot of factors that go into it. We would need a bigger vehicle, which I would love. We have paid off our Subaru, so therefore we don't have a car payment, and that makes me want a SUV (a subaru Tribeca). We would also need a bigger place to live, but if law schools happens we wouldn't be able to afford the payments. It makes me sad. I just want a sweet little baby. For now I get my baby fix from our friends, the Fitch's, with there adorable, sweet, little Addison. I will keep you all updated on the law school stuff, and all the other happenings in our life.

Too Funny!!

Ok so Jordan has been potty trained for a little while now(it's awesome) and Ryken is still in diapers(so nice not to buy them so often), anyways today Jordan was in the bathroom and forgot to shut the door and I noticed Ryken was really quite so I called him name and hey said "mom going potty" so I went into the bathroom and there he was standing at the toilet with his pants and diaper down standing like a big boy with a HUGE smile on his face, he thought he went potty and was super excited and was yelling yes! yes! it was so cute. So maybe I will start working with him and see what he does.

Army Boy

My little brother Bryce had decided to join the Army and today along with my family went to see him get "sworn in", I have had mixed feelings about this but I have choose to be supportive and happy for him. I will miss him so much and I'm very proud of him for making such a big decision. We are lucky to spend time with him before he leave's tomorrow morning, a good thing about this is that he will be in Georgia and when he graduates Chandra will be able to see it.
I love you Bryce :)

Blue

So I got this shirt for Ryken but Jordan decided that he really likes it and wants to wear it everyday, I think it looks really cute on him and it brings out his pretty skin and adorable brown eyes.

Why are people weird?

Okay, so I was at a store called Hobby Lobby(Kinda like Roberts) shopping with the boys. I had stuff in the cart, so the boys were walking along side me. My hyper-active Ryken then decided he needed to be a step ahead. Before I could finish getting half way through the ailse I was on, he would be on next aisle over. Each time I would call after him, "Ryken please stay by mommy."One time I called after him, I heard a lady say the same thing I was saying to Ryken, but in a more demanding voice. I was like, "Um, ok that's weird," but just kept shopping. A few minutes later Ryken did the same thing, and again I repeated "Ryken please stay by mommy." And then it happened again. This same weird lady said "Ryken, get back by your mom right now! You know better than that. You need to stay by the cart." It was so freaking weird that this lady would do that. I was speechless and annoyed. I had many choice thoughts about this wacko, but basically thought "Okay, I didn't know I had a nanny." Who the hell did she think she was talking to my son, that she didn't know from Adam, that way. Why can't people just mind there own business? What a weird day.
