I honestly have the 3 cutest kids in the world :) I'm happy that all of their birthdays are close enough that I can take them at the same time to get pictures done every year. Jordan turned 7 in October and Luke 3 in January and Ryken will be 6 in February. Back in November at the Christmas expo I signed up for a shoot at a place called Camera Shy (http://camerashy.com) in Lehi and it just like Fotofly but I like this place better. Although Luke was a nightmare and cried the entire time and was almost on the verge of rescheduling he decided at the last minute to give a few smiles, all the pictures turned out adorable.

Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet Luke!! time flies when you have a sweet cute funny little boy, I love this little dude so much, he makes our family so happy and always has us laughing. Luke is a very smart boy learning his shapes and colors/counting and recently has found that he LOVES to make puzzles which he is very good at, right of the bat he started making the 48 piece puzzles and hasn't slowed down. At the moment he is way into Buzz and Woody he even wanted to wear his buzz Jammie's at his birthday party :). Luke had a fun toy story family party and got spoiled rotten. We love you Luke Samuel Whitney!!!

Wow! it's almost been a year since I have posted on our blog, just call me a MAJOR slacker :( It's so hard to believe that is 2012! We are very excited to start the new year, we have some changes that we are excited about, Dan will be graduating with is MBA (U OF U) in April and we couldn't be more excited. It's been a long two years but Dan is so amazing and completely dedicated all while working full time and being an amazing husband and dad. Jordan is in first grade and is doing fabulous and is really into football, he also plays on a Jr. Jazz team with Ryken and they both are amazing. Ryken is in kindergarten and is doing really well and loves that he can read, he is the only kindergartner on the team and totally denominates. Our sweet Luke will be 3 in a couple weeks and is the sweetest blond haired blued boy who is full of energy and make us laugh daily. And their is me :) not much is going on with me, still a happy stay home mommy and sometimes still finds time to do some kind of craft. Dan surprised me this Christmas with a trip to Paris!! which has always been a dream of mine, when we were first married in our first apartment I decorated it all in a "Paris/Eiffel tower" theme, I can't even begin to tell you how speechless I was and how excited we are to go.

Also another big event has happened, my sister and nephews that have lived in Georgia for the that 6 1/2 years has finally come back home, we couldn't be more excited and happy to welcome them into our home, we have had the house under construction for the last 3 1/2 weeks to make room for them to be comfortable and we are more then happy with the out come. I happy to say that I finally have my little big sister home(she's older but shorter) I'm so excited that we can hang out and do all kinds of fun stuff together again. I'm happy that our boys can become closer and even happier that my dad has all5 grand boys in one place. Life is GRAND!!

Happy Birthday to our wild and crazy Ryken. We decided for his 5th birthday to throw and friends party, Ryken was so excited and he choose Jump N Bounce and we all had a BLAST!! the party was in the "space" room with lots of pizza, pop and cupcakes and unlimited bouncing time. Ryken had fun with all of his friends and family, we are so proud of Ryken and how much he has grown, he is the best brother anyone could ask for and is always looking out for his brothers. Ryken is a very active boy who is always on the go, he is busy with preschool, friends and Karate, its so hard to believe that he's going to kindergarten this fall. We are so happy to have him in our family with him there is never a dull moment. WE LOVE YOU RYKEN DANIEL WHITNEY!!

Ok people right here right now Im calling that Ryken will be a NBA basketball player, this kid LOVES basketball and his very good at it. We have a basketball hoop in our basement and he slam dunks hit all the time, he does spin shoots and even gets in the window ledge and jumps out of it and slam dunks it :) I know that Ryken will be and is good at many other things but when I think of him I think basketball player.

Our baby is growing up, I can't believe is 2!! where has the time gone? Well we all thought that he would for sure have a Shrek birthday party( LOVED Shrek for longest time) but when I took him to the store he picked out all Mickey mouse stuff so that's what he had and fun Mickey Mouse party with family and friends. So the morning of his birthday I woke him up by singing happy birthday to him and he said NO!! and would just tell me to stop ha ha!! he was like that all day and then a few days later we had his party and I would ask him how old he was and he would just get a grumpy face and pout and walk away, well he kept this up all the way until his party, he sat on the chair with his head down and was really shy, when it was time to blow out the candle we all started to sing he freaked out and dove into big brother Jordan's lap and wouldn't look at anybody. We are do very blessed to have Luke in our family he keeps is on our toes and has us laughing all of the time. WE LOVE YOU LUKE SAMUEL WHITNEY!!

I seriously can't believe that I'm 30, I remember even in high school saying/thinking that 30 was so old and now I'm here 30 old and fat blah blah. But thanks to my amazing husband I had a wonderful birthday(that I wanted to skip) so Dan took the whole day off and let me relax, I took a couple naps and ate yummy Chinese food for lunch and then I was off to get a massage and facial(2 hours) and then Dan said after we would go get some dinner, well after my awesome massage I checked my phone and had 7 missed calls and 5 texts so I call Dan and he was way worried because I was gone longer then expected so I rushed home expecting they would be in the car waiting for me to take off and I ran inside and much to my surprise it was a surprise party for me, I was shocked and I hate attention on me but I was Happy the house was decorated and the Dan had cafe Rio food it simply was perfect....as if that wasn't enough there was a knock at my door and as I turned the corner I FREAKED out!! it was my sister from Georgia, wow did I cry like a baby, I seriously couldn't be happier I have been missing her like crazy and this was exactly what I needed. I owe my husband so much he is the best to me and I love him so much and thank him for a WONDERFUL birthday. Thanks to all my family and friends that came to suprise me :)

Luke's 18 month appt

I can't believe our Luke man is 18 months, he has grown up so fast but we have enjoyed every little moment. Luke is our sweet calm baby who is always smiling and giving hugs, he loves playing with his big brothers, likes to wrestle and play outside. Right now he only says a few words(wow, dog, dada) but if he's around a dog or a baby he will jabber like there is no tomorrow. Luke is now old enough for nursery and LOVES it!! Everyday he amazes us, he is a very smart boy and although he doesn't talk much he now how to tell us what he wants, often times he will let you know he is tired and point to his bottle and then wait by his crib to to bed, he also feels that he can get into the pantry and grab what he wants and then will wait by the highchair. I often get asked if Luke is my baby, with is beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes I'm very proud to say YES!! I love that my three boys look different from each other and knowing that they have a little piece of Dan and I in them. Luke bring a calm sense to our family and we couldn't have been more blessed to have him in our family.

Disneyland 2010

We decided to take a family vacation before Dan starts school this August(for his MBA), so we decided to go to DISNEYLAND!!! the original plan was the 5 of us and my mother-in law and her husband but sadly they weren't going to make it but she so graciously offered to take work off and watch Luke while we went. So the tickets were bought the car was packed and we said a tearful goodbye to our baby and hit the road at 4:30 a.m(June 13-17th) the boys and I slept all the way to St. George but once there it went down hill, I woke up with a very sharp headache but it went away as quickly as it came and then all of the sudden I felt nausea's and extremely dizzy, I opened the door and about fell out my head hurt so bad along with blurry vision and dizziness. We sat there for a minute(while I was bawling) and decided to go to Insta-care but they suggested I go to the hospital so long story short I was in the hospital for 4 hours and it was determined that I had Vertigo ( a type of dizziness , where there is a feeling of motion when one is stationary), and all I could think was that I was ruining our vacation :( so 4 hours later I was determined to make it to California but on top of that delay we ran into major traffic and our DVD players wouldn't work oh my it was awful but to our amazment the boys were so good.

We arrived 16 hours later and were very tired, I was given medicine for the Vertigo but did not feel 100% but I was determined to have a fantastic time, the boys loved Disneyland but were a little on the scared side and refused to go on a lot of the rides, our first ride was Pirates of the Caribbean which scared them a little but were pumped for other rides and to see Mickey. We did the 3 day hopper pass and had equal fun between the parks, I really wanted to take them on splash mountain but they refused although they did go on space mountain and only because we had no idea what kind of ride it was ha ha you should have seen there faces. We all had a fabulous time but sure missed our Luke.

Memory cans

I decided to make these memory cans for my sweet boys(mainly for me) I made Jordan's when he was a baby and one for Ryken but I just finished it recently and so of course made one for Luke, the reason I started back on them is because Jordan and Ryken had one last show in tell at preschool and they wanted something different at cool and I saw them in there closet and showed them it and what was inside and they thought it was COOL. So inside they each have different things but mainly stuff from when they were born and from the hospital stuff like the clothes they came home in, ultrasound pictures, booties, diapers(unused), hospital beanie and lots of other stuff, the boys had a blast taking to school and showing there friends and I like it to look back on how small my babies use to be, wow they grow so fast.

Feeling old

I will be turning 30 in September and I seriously think I'm going to have a break down, I remember when I was in middle school(even high school) thinking wow 30 is OLD!! and here I am 11 years out of high school and feeling old and yucky, don't get me wrong I love my life and my wonderful husband and kids but YUCK is the best word to describe how I feel..I look back at pictures of when I was in my twenties and WOW I was a little hottie but guess I didn't embrace it because now I'm a fatty. Well I don't want this to be a negative post so I will stop my whining. There are a few things that I kind of feel like "I'm too old" to do...

1. Scrapbook ( but I love doing it)

2. Going to concerts, I look at the crowed and think crap maybe I'm too old to be rocking out.

3. I recently got my nose pierced( I like it) but a few people have made some negative comments.

4. going to haunted house ( I seriously always have a blast and it doesn't hurt to have a good scare/laugh.

Maybe these are all dumb and I'm just over reacting. Although I do have to love when people tell me I look way to young to have 3 kids.

Chicken Parmesan Bundles

This recepie is DELICIOUS!!!

4 oz Philadelphia cream cheese, softened

1 pkg(10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed, well drained

1 1/4 cups Kraft shredded low mozzarella cheese, divided

6 tbsp Kraft 100% grated Parmesan cheese, divided

6 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves(pounded to 1/2 inch thickness)

1 egg

10 Ritz crackers, crushed(about 1/2 cup)

1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, heated

PREHEAT oven to 375'F. Mix cream cheese, spinach, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese and 3 tbsp. of the Parmesan cheese until well blended; spread evenly onto chicken breast.

Starting at one of the short ends of each breast, roll up chicken tightly, secure with wooded toothpicks.

BEAT egg in shallow bowl. Mix remaining tbsp. Parmesan cheese and the cracker crumbs into separate shallow bowl. Dip chicken bundles in egg, then roll in crumb mixture. Place seam-side down, in 13x9 inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is cooked through. remove and discard toothpicks, Serve topped with the spaghetti sauce and remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

We all had a great Valentines Day, the boys had a party at preschool and decorated their own boxes and were pretty excited about the cards and candy. I got them cute Valentines shirts that say The ladies love me! which Jordan thought was pretty funny. My mom watched the boys Saturday night so Dan and I could go out, we did a dinner and movie Valentines night at the District. I got and 10 min massage, a rose and chocolates and then we ate a yummy dinner(with music) and then we got drinks and popcorn and watched the movie Valentines Day, I love it, it was a great movie. Dan and I had a fun night together and later exchanges presents, of course he was sweet and thoughtful, he got me some jewelry from Lia Sophia and a flip camcorder(which I'm stoked about). I decided I'm not the best present giver when it comes to Valentines but I got him mini Bundtinis which are oh so yummy and some clothes.

Luke turned 1 on January 11th, we had a family/friends party the Saturday before and he had a wonderful time. I can't believe our sweet Lil Luke is a year old, where has the time gone? Luke has be a wonderful addition to our family, he is the sweetest happiest Lil guy you will ever meet(even when he doesn't feel good). Luke has changed so much over the last month he crawls, walks along the couch, he free stands and will take little steps, he as two bottom teeth and now the top two are popping out. Luke loves to wrestle with his daddy and loves to play in the toy room with his big brothers, loves giving hugs and kisses and honestly couldn't be a better baby. We love him so much and are thankful for the joy he brings our family.

(This post is a little past due) Jordan turned 5 on October 22nd, we had an early birthday party because I was out of town on his birthday. Jordan had fabulous time at his party with family and friends, he had a Transformer party(and had already planned is 6th birthday idea ha ha). I can't believe my first born is 5 wow!!! where has the time gone? We are so blessed to had Jordan in our family, he is a very smart energetic boy who is always thinking of others.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! this year we stayed home and cooked at our house(never cooked a turkey before) and had my dad and his family over. Dan did a lot of the cooking and did a wonderful job( and a really hot cook) everything turned out really nice, yummy food, outdoor football, wii and watched the movie Four Christmases. All in all we had a great time, I'm so grateful for everything in my life and I'm truly blessed. I love my family so much and couldn't ask for anything better in my life.

My dad finally remarried after 23 years and I couldn't be more happy for him, I always wondered why it took so long but now I know: he was waiting for his love Natalia and they are perfect for each other. They married on September 26.2009(Dan and I now share an anniversary with them) Our family grew and we are all so happy, my dad just has my sister and I and now with Natalia two boys(Jonathan and Giavonni) he finally has boys. We have all gotten along from the very start(have to mention Natalia is 6 years older then I)so when they decided they were getting married we were overwhelmed with joy. The wedding was perfect and couldn't have gone better. Congratulation dad and Natalia we love you guys!!!

Luke's doc appt

Luke went in for his 6 month checkup at 7 1/2 months(a little late) but he is doing just great and growing like a champ other then he had a ear infection, he weighs 18 pounds and is finally getting a little chunky. He did awesome until he had to get 4 shots I felt so bad. I can't believe how fast he has grown he is such a joy to be around and those baby blue eyes just melt your heart.

Luke/4 months

Luke is 4 months today, where has the time gone? this little guy has been such a joy to our lives and makes us smile daily. Luke is such a little guy but does so much he has to be sitting up all of the time(loves to play with toys in high chair) likes to talk and giggle, he sleeps through the night and awakes bright and early (6:30-7:00). He also loves to sit in his bumbo or saucer and just play.

Soccer

Jordan and Ryken had there first soccer game over the weekend and they both did awesome, they are so fun to watch(3, 4 and 5 year olds) Ryken was hilarious to watch he was all into it and was throwing elbows and pushing whoever got in his way, he even got mad when his own team scored because he wanted to score himself and then to top it off he huddled with the wrong team, he was all in their huddle cheering and yelling it was hilarious.

Potty Training

Wow!! this was a task I was dreading terribly, Ryken is a very stubborn headed little boy and also very busy and the thought of potty training him was not going to be fun. Last Thursday I woke up and was getting the boys ready for the day and I decided that Ryken was going to wear "big boy" underwear and he has done AWESOME! We are so proud of him, he has had a few little accidents but that is a given. I love to watch his face when he knows he went potty and gets a grin from ear to ear, I also can't even tell you how nice it will be to only change one kid(Baby) We have not had a break from diapers since Jordan was born plus we will save lots of money.

Moab/Easter weekend

Luke stayed behind at Grandma Ann's for the weekend while we were in Moab, we missed him very much. I love my happy boy this is his first Easter(3 months).

We had a great time in Moab over the weekend even though the weather wasn't the best, the boys had a blast just being able to run wild. I have been slacking on my blogging and also because our computer crashed. Not much has been going on, Jordan had a eye infection and gave it to me and also his papa Bell and when that was over he got a cough which passed to Ryken but his is much worse. I feel like they have been sick forever. I FINALLY got my gym membership at 24 hour and also got a trainer, my first session was on Saturday and it kicked my butt(which I totally need)I can tell the trainer will help me so much because it puts pressure on me to do good and not wuss out. Luke is now 2 months and is cute as ever, he is such a good baby. Dan has been slammed with work and will be taking a trip to Asia very soon.

So it been about 4 1/2 weeks since I had Luke but my sweet boys keep telling me stuff I don't want to hear, I know they are just kids and they don't really mean/know what they are saying but it's still sucks to hear it.

Jordan: Will ask every know and then when our other baby will come out, he will also walk by and (ok I totally stopped typing for a minute because a FREAKING spider just walked across my keyboard YIKES!!). Anyways Jordan will walk past me and pat my stomach and I hate it because it jiggles and he knows what he's doing.

Ryken: The other day Ryken said Mom I'm eating all my food and I'm getting full and my stomach is getting really big like yours.

Luke is 2 weeks old and is a fabulous baby we are so blessed to have him in our lives. Jordan and Ryken are having a little bit of a hard time with the new adjustment, Ryken just growls at me when he doesn't like what I tell him and Jordan just straight tells me NO MOM!! but I know this is just a phase and they will get over it(better be fast). Danny went back to work last week and I thought oh great let the fun begin ha ha!! but I actually had a good week I just have to remember to breath. Life with three boys is going to be hard work but we wouldn't change it for anything.

Jaundice

Luke has Jaundice really bad, he has been poked for the past two days and his poor little heels are just blue and sore. The Jaundice just keep getting worse so today we had a light machine sent to our house and Luke pretty much has to been in it 24/7 except while eating and diaper changes. It sad because I just want to hold and snuggle him(which he just loves). We also had to put him on special formula and have him eating every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night. The good thing is that he is eating, pooping, peeing good but is sleeping a little too much. Hopefully this machine and the formula will work so we won't have to take him back to the hospital. All in all Luke has been a wonderful baby.

Luke arrived January 11th at 5:07 p.m weighed 8lbs 20inches. I went in to get induced and arrived at 7:30am and my doc broke my water at 8:45am, everything was going smooth and once I dilated to a 5 I was well ready for the epidural. Right away that kicked in and from then on I slept and next thing I know my doc said ok lets get this baby out, I pushed for ten minutes and little Luke came right out perfect as could be. I was in labor for 8 hours and it was the best of the three labors by 100%. Dan and I loved the hospital, Doc and Nurses and things couldn't have gone any better. Thank you to all that came to visit and gifts we are very blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Our sweet little Kylee is at Primary's with RSV, she will be up there for a few days. They are keeping a good eye on her and will be given breathing treatments, they had to take her IV out because it was getting infected but she is slowly eating better. We are praying for a speedy recovery.

Today I went to my doc appointment and left totally pissed, I'm so to the point of being done. I'm so sick of walking like I'm 90 years old, it takes me 20 mins to switch sides in bed, I can't sleep at night and the list could on and on. Anyways my doc said everything looks good(but didn't "check" me) and asked if I wanted to go past my due date and I was like duh heck no!, so he was reading my chart and said my due date was January 19th I'm like um no it's the 16th so this whole time I was told wrong and that few days makes a huge difference, I just waned to cry. He finished measuring and said well feels like you got a big boy in their and next next weeks appt we will talk about when to have him(so possible January 10th). I really want to go on my own but not if that means going over my due date. Cross your fingers that I will go on my own or have him on the 10th :)

5 Weeks

Wow it's down to the wire I can't believe I have 5 weeks until my precious Luke will arrive. I went to the doctor's on Tuesday and everything looks good other then I'm not dilated at all nor thinning out(sorry if too much info). For a little while I did have a feeling that he might come early but now that I hear that I now get the feeling that he will come right on time or late YIKES!! I'm so done being pregnant but then I don't want to be induced because I want to see if my labor will be easier and shorter if I just go on my own(cross your fingers).

Jordan and Ryken are getting excited as well and ask me all the time about him, they love to kiss and talk to my belly. The other day I told Ryken that he needed to be a little more quite and he said why mom is Luke sleeping? ha ha!! he is so cute. I'm just about done with the nursery and then I will post some pictures.

Early Present

Sweet for me, my wonderful husband got me an early Christmas present. Our bedroom was really boring and low key before and we had the headboard and dresser for 7 years so we decided to get a new one. I also got a new comforter set and we will start painting and putting up decorations, I'm so freaking excited. I will be sure to post pics along the way.

Gingerbread House

We have really fun night at Grandma Ann's house tonight, she invited us all over for pizza and then to make Gingerbread houses. All the boys had fun decorating them and getting all messy but by the end of the night some of the house started to fall apart. We also had a blast watching Home Alone, all the boys were laughing pretty hard but Ryken was laughing the hardest he thought everything was funny.

Santa 2008

Yesterday I took the boys to visit Santa at the South towne Mall, we got there right in time and we were second from being cut off(Santa lunch break) so there was one family behind us and then couple minutes later I look back and there was a mom with two kids that decided to sneak in as if they wouldn't notice, well they did and they talked to her and she was totally like I'm not leaving and give me a break the worker tried to explain that there are certain hours and they are posted and Santa takes breaks. This lady would not give up and pulled out a stupid sob story saying that she was in line right when they cut of off(which she totally was not even around) and that she had to hurry and get to work and was having a bad day and then she started crying, she was so dramatic is was hilarious, she ended up getting through and didn't even tell the workers thank you.

Anyways the boys did good with Santa they totally act all excited to see him but when we got there they get all shy. Jordan told Santa he wants a blue light saber and other Star wars toys and Ryken wants a yellow light saber and then just wouldn't talk anymore. The picture turned out ok they look scared but really they were fine. After that was all done Ryken put is hands out and said Where is my yellow light saber? so for the rest of the day I tried to explain to him that we just give Santa some ideas and we would need to wait until Christmas to see what he brings, Ryken was totally confused.

Luke

Late Friday night I started not feeling to good and thought that maybe I was getting sick from the food I ate earlier(Panda Express) so all through the night my stomach was hurting but I kinda just slept through it and then it continued throughout Saturday, Danny and Ryken also eat Panda Express and they were not sick and by evening I couldn't handle it anymore so Danny took me to the hospital( thanks Anderson's for watching our boys). I got all checked in and hooked up so they could check on Luke, it ended up that I was having contractions which I felt really stupid but I was induced with both of my boys and then on a epidural so I didn't feel any contractions when I has them. Anyways I was having contractions partially due to because I was dehydrated and I'm getting to the end(7 weeks left) that night I came home and slept 15 hours it was wonderful. Luke is perfectly fine I just need to relax more and drink lots of water. I have been having a feeling that Luke might come early but I don't want him to come too early.

Downtown lights

Friday night we had a fun night out with our friends the Anderson's and rode the trax downtown to see the Christmas lights and the temple and Gateway. The trax was a little crowded on the way down and we had to stand the whole way but luckily the kids did ok, once we got downtown we all bundled up and walked around looking at the awesome lights and just enjoyed the atmosphere and each others company. After we walked the temple grounds we walk to the Gateway and saw the huge Christmas tree that was lit with multiple colored lights and just hung out, it was a fun night.

Wonderful Husband

I just have to brag and tell everyone what an amazing husband I have, he is the most thoughtful and caring person I known. I'ts been a couple months since his shoulder surgery and it still hurts him pretty bad but he still does a lot around the house and with the boys(probably way too much) and here I am 32 weeks pregnant and feel lazy as heck and have been slacking on house duty and other things and my wonderful husband does not complain at all and just goes with the flow. Danny has been so good to me while I have been pregnant, he gives me a massage seriously every night and gets bubble baths ready for me, he takes the kids at night so I can just chill and relax. Last night while he was filling my car with gas I was home putting the boys to bed and I slipped and fell down the stairs and basically did the splits and landed pretty hard on my butt, right away I was sore and could tell I pulled and muscle in my inner thigh so when he got home he massaged my leg and kept making sure I was ok. The point I'm saying is that I have the best husband in the world and not to mention he is freaking HOT!!

Last week I was insanely crazy and slept out at the new Chick Fil-a with Kelli and Jer and Jon Fitch, I was number 27 and made it all through the night and got free Chick Fil-a for a year(first 100 people that stay all night). Mind you it snowed last week and it was freaking freezing and I believe that it was like 29 degrees at night. We all managed to keep warm and just hang out and play games, they feed us dinner and yummy hot chocolate. There was some way crazy people that brought there little kids and I felt so bad for them they just cried the whole time, I even say a couple babies that were like nine months and younger how freaking rude is that? Anyways nothing but great times :)

Lately I feel like I want to start making things and move out of the scrapbooking/ house craft phase. I want to make baby bibs/burp cloths and then if that works out expand from their. I have no clue where to start, I went to Hancock Fabric and tried to have a lady help me but she didn't seem to interested so I left. We had a great Halloween this year, our tradition is to go Trick or Treating at the mall with our cousins and then go to G-ma Ann's Halloween party. Trick or Treating was fun because this year Dan was home to come with us(was out of the country last 2 years) we also had our friends the Fitch's with us. This year was the first year that the boys went Trick or Treating out in the neighborhood and the boys had a blast and came home with a ton of candy. We all had a great time at G-ma Ann's party and played all night, we got home around 11:00 and the boys went straight to bed only to wake up a few hours later throwing up(yes both got sick) so we had a very long night with sick boys.

Last night Dan and I went to a haunted house with our friends the Fitch's, we stopped and ate some dinner at JCW'S in Lehi and sat around at talked and then headed to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. We did the out and indoor haunted house for 20 bucks, the Haunted forest was freaking awesome and well worth the money I have not had that much fun in a long time but I would not recommend Peggie's going to a haunted house, I seriously peed my pants and was laughing so hard I could barley walk. Dan just laughed at me the whole time and Jon just kept scaring Jamie and I all night, my hubby was a troop and suffered with his still very sore arm that I grabbed onto and few times but we had a great time and will for sure go again next year.

I just wanted to say that I love my amazing little boys, they have been so wonderful and helpful this last week while I have been sore and wanting to just rest. Jordan and Ryken are so excited to meet baby brother Luke that they seriously ask at least once a week when Luke will be with us, I tell them sometime after Christmas but I know that's hard for them to understand.

I can only imagine what Luke it going to look like, we are all so excited.

I'm very blessed to have all boys in my family who I know will love and protect there mommy ( This includes my wonderful husband who has been awesome even though he is still in extreme pain from surgery).

I just want to scream like crazy, why is it when one person asks you a question it seems to be followed by a million others asking the same question. I swear last week the question of the week was how are feeling/when are you due? and when I answered that I'm not due until January people were like really you have that long? I kept getting told that I look big for how far along I am which doesn't help because I have been feeling like crap and have been extremely soar sometimes to the point where I can barley walk. I think that I need to go to a Chiropractor and get checked out, after I had Ryken my pelvis and hips would hurt a lot and come to find out that my pelvis was out of place(one leg was longer then the other) and that was what was causing my pain and I'm thinking that it could be the same pain I'm having now. If you go by weeks I only have 13 weeks until my due date but for some reason if I say I'm due January it seems forever away, I think it will start going by fast with all the Holidays coming and next thing I know my sweet precious Luke will be here.

I don't mean to sound so negative and want everyone to know I thankful that people care about me(just don't ask so many questions that make me feel fat ha ha!!).

So this is how it begins, there is 7 of us girls who have know each other since junior high and we also all worked together at ARUP until one by one some of us started moving out of state, we have Nicole who lives in N. Dakota, Treasure in Arizona, Chandra in Georgia, Mandy in Missouri, Missy in Idaho and that leaves Crystol and I that are the only two that live in Utah. We planned like 4 or 5 months ago that we wanted to make a surprise visit to Nicole for her 30th b-day and it happened that we all could make it for her surprise(at the last minute Chandra couldn't make it). So it was planned that Treasure and Mandy would fly out and Missy, Crystol and I would drive(Ya way crazy) we had this all worked out with Nicole's husband and friends.
Well to make the surprise even better Nicole's mom and step-dad were going to ND as well and were going to cover as the surprise so she had no idea it would be us, we all meet up in Carrington and stay at a hotel and got ready while her mom distracted her and had Nicole at a Karaoke bar with all her friends, we got the call that it was time to surprise her so we packed all up and brought her favorite mint brownie's and went to the bar walked in singing happy b-day(her back was turned from us) but it took her a second to hear us and then turned around and freaked out and started crying(she NEVER cries) it seriously was the best surprise and couldn't have gone any better. We stayed at the karaoke bar until 1:00 am having the time of our life, the rest of the weekend we just hung out and enjoyed our time together. Then us three girls made the crappy drive home, but we all made it home safe and had the best weekend ever.

I just have to write about our very funny Jordan. I seriously love this age(he will be 4 Oct 22) he is the funniest kid ever and everyday he makes me laugh, Jordan changes his mind so often it's hard to keep track of what he likes or if he's moved on. First he liked Power Rangers then Spider Man then TMNT and then Star wars("was going to be obi wan kenobi for Halloween) and now he's had decided he wants to be Indiana Jones for Halloween, I'm almost afraid to get that costume because he might change his mind and who knows how many times it will change before Halloween.

GIVEN IN!!

I hate to admit this but I have given in and for now decided that we are going to name our baby boy Luke, Dan and the boys have called him that since day one and I can't come up with one that I absolutely love and I'm getting sick of looking. I'm still open for suggestions but if by the time of his arrival I don't find another name it will be Luke Whitney(still thinking about the middle name). I can't believe that I'm 25 weeks it seems to have been going by fast and before I know it my sweet little boy will be here(the holidays will make it come fast). I have been having a hard time deciding how to decorate the nursery but came across some cute stuff at Rod works(best store ever) I found a cute old fashioned car and wall art but need to find more cars so if anyone knows where they sell them please let me know, I want the room to be kind of old fashion cars with neutral colors. I have the whole look in my head and know I just need to find items.

Dan's surgery

Dan had his shoulder surgery yesterday and everything went great, Ann was very helpful to take and pick him up and get him home. If I remember right he will have to be in the sling for 4-6 weeks and will be out of work until next week, Dan is not happy that we will not be able to lift or workout or any way hard stuff for at least a full year. Dan's sling is kinda tricky but I was able to figure it out and help him shower(hee! hee!!) and get dressed but I'm worried that when I'm not around it will be hard for him to do, he also has to wear extremely tight socks that go all the way to his knees to prevent blood clots. It will be nice to have him home and spend time with him even though he can't do much.

San Francisco/anniversary

My wonderful husband booked us a trip to San Francisco for our 5 year wedding anniversary and made arrangements for the boys, we left early Friday morning and came back late Sunday night. Our little getaway was wonderful we actually got to sleep through the night without our crazy kids waking us up, the plane ride was only an hour and 47 minutes but our plane was freaking tiny(2 seater)and that made me freak out but we arrived safe. We stayed in a city called Oakland because the hotel was cheaper(thanks Kelli) but the down fall was that we had to take the BART(subway) into San Francisco and where ever else we wanted and if we wanted to take a break or a nap then back on the train we went, so Friday we dropped our things off at the hotel and then walked around(Oakland is ghetto)and got some lunch and then went to rest and ended up sleeping for 5 hours, after our lovely nap we went to Pier 49 walked around and eat at a Irish pub(which had no Dr. Pepper) and kept walking all over seeing lots of cool stuff and also went to the Wax museum. We walked a lot and also took a lot of subways, trains and trolleys we were actually on a light rail bus thingy and it died right in the middle of the road as we we turning power and all it was kinds scary, none of the public transportation is smooth or quite. We made our way to China town which I was excited about because I thought I would get some purses at killer prices but in San Francisco they sell them for way more because people don't know how dirt cheap they sell in Hong Kong and New York so I'm sad to say that I came home with not purse.

We also hit a town called Haight Ashbury which is a 70's hippie smoking marijuana town, it was fun to see all kinds of different shops, they had a lot of Bob Marley stuff and bongs , then we made our way over to a town called Castro which is the gay/lesbian district and all I can say is WOW!! we mostly saw gay men and a few girls other then that we were the ones that stuck out like a sore thumb(nothing like a pregnant married women walking in a gay town). On our way back to Pier 39 we were on a bus and all of the sudden this crazy guy starts walking right in front of the bus yelling a flipping the bus driver off and would not get out of the way he seriously almost got ran over.

I have to say that there are some freaking weird people in San Francisco, the first day we arrived not even a hour we had a guy come up us wanted to sell weed, we say a shoeless homeless women digging in the trash looking for a drink and then she laid on the ground and licked it got up eat some crap off the ground and walked away and was looking in peoples car trying to get in them. But on the other hand I did meet some nice people, I had two different women tell them that I was a cute pregnant girl(which is always nice to hear)and then there is Dan who can make friends like nothing, he made friends on the subway and at the airport and talked to them for awhile. Sunday morning before we left we went to the Golden gate bridge but it was really cold and windy and we could only see half of the bridge because of all the fog but it was still really cool to see it. We had a really great weekend but I missed the boys and I'm glad to be home.

Today was my 28th birthday and it was great, last night my mother in-law made me a yummy dinner with Dan's family and had a fun night hanging out and then today I woke up to the house decorated and my cute boys at the table saying Happy Birthday mom!! then later we meet my dad, Dan and Nick and Nicole for lunch at East coast subs then came home and took a nap with my boys. My wonderful husband knows me so good and got me one of my favorite things a Massage to Breathe spa, I can't even tell you how much I LOVE massages and they are even better when your pregnant so after we get back from San Fransisco I'm going to get me a sweet massage. I had a nice relaxing evening, Dan took the boys out for a little bit (while I watched DWTS) and came home with Cafe Rio and then our friends the Anderson's came over and we just chilled. Even though I'm sad about being 28 I had a really good birthday.

My little brother came home for a visit for 6 days and left today to head back to Missouri and then he will leave October 3rd for Irag, we where able to spend time with him while he was here but it wasn't enough. From the information he was given he will serve in Irag anywhere from 6-7 months(and that could change). Bryce was able to spend time with his 1 moth old niece Kylee who he just absolutely adores, we also were able to have a family party and have everyone see him before he leaves. I hope that Bryce knows how proud we are of him and we love him to much, I'm going to have a hard time knowing he his in a very dangerous place and he is so far away. We love you Bryce!!!!

Soccer mania

Jordan had is first soccer game of the fall on Saturday and he did fantastic for being the first time playing at all, the whole team played really well and had a lot of fun. Jordan is on a team with a few of his friends and the team ranges from 3-5 year olds and they are freaking hilarious to watch. Last Wednesday we went to the t-ville rec center to meet his team and coach and they they got all there stuff handed out and my cute little Ryken didn't understand why he wasn't getting a uniform and started crying and said mom I want to be on Jordan's soccer team, it was seriously the saddest cry so then at the game on Saturday he kept trying to run on the field and play and just pretty much cried because he couldn't play, although! he made is way in the line after the game to give fives(see pics). Jordan has another game on Wednesday the 24th if anyone would like to come.

Big Belly

This is a close up of my ever growing belly, I feel that I'm freaking huge for only being 22 1/2 weeks and the sad thing is that I'm only going to continue to get bigger. I admit I should exercise more but I seriously have no energy after keeping up with my crazy boys, but one thing I will brag about is that I still fit into my regular pants(don't even as what seize it is) but that makes me a little happy and makes up for the rest of me getting huge. I'm happy to say that my bad headaches have gone away and all was good but not for long, whenever I'm pregnant I get sore hips and a really bad cramp in my left side and sometimes I can't even walk or if I do I look like a granny trying to walk(hey maybe for my b-day I could get a walker ha ha!!). After I had Ryken my pelvic bone and hips kept hurting so I went to massage therapy and found out that my hip was slightly out of place so when I lay down my left foot was a tiny bit longer then the right, so maybe that's what is going on again Ok sorry this was a stupid post but I just wanted to post my belly pic.

I'm going to pull my hair out and just scream at the top of my lungs, my kids are the WORST sleepers in the whole freaking world. Whether I give them a nap during the day or not they still do not stay in bed so at that point I figure I will still give them naps so I can have my "alone time" to read, scrapbook, clean or nap. We put them to bed between 8:30-9:30 give or take and they never stay in bed or they just play around and then when we think they are sleeping we hear them in the night coming in our room to sleep with us, they probably come in anywhere from 5-6 times a night(every night) I can honestly say I can't even remember when the last time they went to bed and actually stayed in bed all through the night, seriously you only want to get up so many times during the night to put them back because you just want to sleep but you don't want them in your bed. Dan and I have tried the Nanny way but just telling them the first time we put them to bed that it's bed time and to stay in bed and then if they keep getting up just not to talk to them and repeat in needed, um ya that didn't work I'm at a totally loss and have no idea what to do so if any of you have some advise PLEASE feel free to help.

Butterfield Canyon

Yesterday we decided to go to the mountains and have a picnic, the drive was nice and relaxing while we listened to Jack Johnson and watched as the further we got up in the mountains that some of the trees are already turning fall colors. Fall is my favorite time of the year, I just love to see all the different colors that trees can turn. We found a nice spot of the road and had a picnic and they the boys wanted to explore so we wondered around and little and hiking, the boys found sticks are were using them as guns and weapons as we kept walking we kept hearing little sounds hear and there and discovered wild turkeys and further up the trial we saw a few deer. We also decided to drive to the top and look out over the Copper Minds(I hate heights) I looked for 2 seconds and then sat in the car while the boys looked out with Danny, it turned out to b a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Utah State Fair 2008

Last night we had a family night and decided to go to the Fair and have some fun, it was really crowded and the lines were long for the food but eventually we ate dinner and then just spent the night walking around looking at animals and playing on rides. We were on our way out and I said that we couldn't come to a fair and not have cotton candy, so we got one to share but the boys would not even try it they were like what the freak is this stuff and after a dozen attempts we managed to get some in Jordan's mouth only for him to over react and start gaging it was hilarious.

Scrapbook Expo update

I will be now going to the expo on Friday the 2oth between 3:30 and 4:00 and probably do the midnight thing, my pregnancy has caused me to forget that Jordan has his first soccer game on Saturday and I wouldn't miss that for anything so if anyone wants to join Nicole and I please do so.

Wow!! I seriously can not believe that this is the 7th anniversary of 9/11/01, where has the time gone. Even though it has been 7 years it's still hard to watch when they do shows about it, I can't even imagine going through that ordeal. Dan and I went to New York in December of '06 and ground zero was a site I wanted to visit while we were there and when I got there I didn't know what to think or how to feel, it was sad standing at a place where so many lost their lives. The whole place was fenced off and tarped(you could be peak through) but they had big pictures all around the fence and just looking at them hurt my heart but I'm glad that I was able to visit such a memorable place.

Scrapbook Expo USA

YES!!! another favorite event is coming soon. I think most of you know that I LOVE to scrapbook(not very well) and I love going to this expo with friends, it's a great day to get away and be able to scrapbook without kids and interruptions. So far all that I know it's only going to be me and my sister in-law Nicole going so if any scrapbook lovers want to join please do so. We will be going Saturday Sep 20th and are still thinking if we want to do the early bird thing or just regular time(10:00). It will be lots of fun!!!!!

Nights in Rodanthe

Sweet!! I love the author Nicholas Sparks and now one if his fabulous books in coming to theater. Nights in Rodanthe is a great sad love story that made me cry and now I want to go to the movie and cry even move, so calling any and all that would like to join Tiff and I and go to this movie. I have this book if anyone wants to read it before the movie comes out, the movie will be out September 26th so anytime after that would be awesome so let me know I think it would be fun to get a group of girls and go have a cry fest.

Pre-school

Jordan started pre-school today, he woke up bright and early and came in my room and said Mommy wake up it's time for school(with a huge smile in his face). So he started the day off with a good breakfast that dad made for him and then got all ready to go. Jordan was really happy to be at school and had no problem and just felt comfortable, I on the other hand was a little sad and kinda a few tears in my eyes but forced myself not to cry but as I was putting Ryken in the car to leave he said mom I want my Jordan so that made more tears come. I miss him but I know that he is fine and will have a good time.

Swiss Day's

I thought for sure I would need to be pushed in a wheelchair for Swiss Day's I was so freaking sore and tired but nothing could keep me from missing the best shopping day ever. We got to Midway around 7:30 and ate a yummy breakfast and off we were shopping. We had a big group

( my mom, sister and her baby, Ann, Kelli, Jen, Christine, Carrie and Tilia) and we all kinda just shopped and caught up with each other and when we were all done we eat a yummy lunch and the Dairy Keen(I think that's what it's called). And then back home to clean and unpack.

Moved and Happy

I hate being behind on my blogging so I'm at my Mother in-laws using her computer so I can catch up. So the moving plan was to start on Monday Sep 1st but we got the keys on Thursday August 28th and I couldn't just sit around knowing that I could be getting stuff moved, so the plan was that I was just going to move the light stuff and then when Dan was done with convention we would move all day Monday but it didn't turn out that way. Thursday I just had people calling me wanting to help with the move(the heavy stuff) so we started at 5:00 p.m and I didn't go to bed until midnight and then started right back up the next morning and by Friday night like 10:00 we had all our stuff moved. I woke up Friday morning extremely sore and tired, I did way too much lifting and bending up and down for being pregnant that I just want to cry but there was was to much to do and I had to keep moving by mid morning Friday I was ready to have a break down and just cry, so after my mom and I picked out paint she made me take a nap which was really hard to do while people were at the house cleaning and painting I felt lazy and stupid. We have the best family and friends ever if it wasn't for all there help we couldn't have moved in so fast. The boys had made friends with the neighbors the second day we started moving and they haven't stopped playing with them since, we feel really comfortable in the house and are loving it.

Pre Pre-school

Jordan had a pre-school get to know your teacher day today, he was excited about it all day but when we got there he was very shy and quite. Dan and I along with G-ma Ann and G-ma J went to meet his teachers and walk around and get familiar with the school. Jordan has his very own locker for his school bag and jacket along with supplies for the year. I think Jordan will do very good at pre-school and I think it will help that he has his friend Ayden that is going to be in in class(hope they don't wrestle ha ha!!). Jordan will start pre-school Sept 4th and go Tues-Thurs mornings, we are very excited for him to start this new adventure.

Let the packing begin

We are told that we will be getting the keys to our house August 28th and so I started packing this weekend, I ran to like a million stores trying to get boxes and came home and just packed and packed. So we really could move in over Labor day weekend but Danny will be at convention for work all week long so I decided that it would be good to pack things now and over the week and then Sep 1st we will be all set to go and just pack up and go, plus I can't miss Swiss day this Saturday. We are hoping to have everything moved in no later then Tuesday the 2nd. Another crappy with Dan being at convention is that we can't really paint before we move in and I can't stand white walls so I'm trying to come up with a way to go tape the walls Thursday night and paint Friday but I still need to pick paint out and find a babysitter for Friday so I can paint without worrying about the boys.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! We got the great news last night that we got the house. I can't even tell you how perfect this house is for us, location and neighborhood is great and the house is in perfect condition. I'm already picturing in my head how I want to decorate it and what I will look for at Swiss Days, this is a 3 bedroom 2 bath with an awesome theater room and another room to make a 4th room and 3rd bathroom, check out the website for pictures.

We are told that we can get all the paper work and everything taken care of by August 30th and will plan on packing really soon so we can be out of our apartment by Sep 5th at the very latest. It will be very hard for me to move from these apartments because we have lived here for 5 years and for the 5 years I have had the greatest pleasure of living right by my mother in-law(and brother in-law and Dan's cousin) my mother in-law Ann is the best mother you can ask for, people use to ask me do you like living so close to mother in-law? and every time I tell them I wouldn't have it any other way, I can't even tell you the countless times Ann has helped us out no matter that we needed I will miss her very much and I'm sure I will have withdrawls and cry at night. We are very excited about this big step in our life, we feel very blessed and so lucky to get this wonderful house and also the arrival of our baby boy due January.

Jack Johnson concert

Tonight Dan and I and a few of our friends(the Anderson's, Starley's and Baumann's) went to the Jack Johnson concert and it was AMAZING! I have always liked his music but man he knows how to put on a fantastic concert, I believe about 20 songs and they were all great. Jack was starting a song when all of the sudden he stops and says man that totally messed me up and then he tells the crowd that a guy from the mosh area yelled I want my wife to have your babies, he said it through him off and he forgot the next cord and then Jack said well what does your wife look like? it was really funny and he said nothing like that has every happened. We are usually really lucky to get VIP parking but not this time, it took us 30 minutes to just get out of the parking lot and eventually we got home at midnight. We all had a blast!!!

Events and other things

Wow!! I can't believe that it's already the middle of August, where does the time go? It seems like we kinda have a lot of different things going on, we have been house hunting and actually made an offer and one that we REALLY like and are waiting to hear back. Jordan will be starting pre-school September 4th and we just signed him up today for fall soccer with his pre-school friend Ayden(Jordan is super excited about both events). I have Swiss days next weekend and I'm way excited if we get that house then I can totally shop for decorations. Danny will be having shoulder surgery in September, he injured it like a year in a half ago but just barely went to the doctors(men!!) and I think with Ryken we will start potty training so we can get a little it of a break from diapers before the baby comes. We are so very excited and crossing our fingers that this house will work out for us, so we need all the luck we can get so if you all with cross your fingers, toes and whatever else that would be awesome

Jordan has been on a kick with the TMNT(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) he talks about then 24/7 and will call his dad every morning and tell him that he wants a green Leonardo ninja turtle costume with two swords, he also tells people that his name is Leonardo which hopefully he won't do that at pre-school. I asked Jordan the other day after we ran a few errands if he was ready for a nap and he said(while pointing to himself) this ninja is not tired, I was laughing so hard. So I guess it's a safe bet that he will be a Ninja turtle for Halloween.

Welcome Kylee N. Needham

My little sister Kendra had her sweet little baby Kylee last night. Kendra had a great delivery for being her first baby, the doctor was extremely impressed with how well and quickly she delivered(I was jealous), Kendra checked in the hospital at 5:30 and had Kylee at 9:49 p.m she weighs 6 pounds 6oz and 19 in. Kylee is simply adorable and already loves her binky, she has the cutest cry. I'm so very proud of how well Kendra did and thank her for letting me be in the room and watch my niece be born.
